Meet Suzanne, co-founder and CFOO-OH Chief Fun & Organizational Officer of Global Reef Roamers and self professed Ocean Hippy. Suzanne became a PADI certified Dive Master in August of 2011 through Underwater World in Omaha Nebraska. Her passion for diving actually began long before becoming a certified open water diver in 2008. Shortly after certification, Suzanne knew she wanted to pursue diving as a future profession. Her love of the water/ocean and marine ecosystem prompted a series of dive travel and progressive certifications. Suzanne began negotiating/customizing group dive trips to amazing diving destinations, which quickly resulted in the formation of Global Reef Roamers. Suzanne also has a passion for marine research/conservation. Whether it is participating in education on marine litter for personal growth or educating others to adopt alternatives to protect coastal environments, she is committed to protecting our fragile marine environment and is always looking for ways to educate others.
Suzanne is a Registered Nurse by trade and is currently an instructor for Advanced Life Support, Basic Life Support, and First Aid classes. Diving certifications include Advanced Open Water, Enriched Air (Nitrox), Rescue Diver, Dive Master, and soon to be OWSI. The couple also completed ASA Sailing Certifications.
The Instructor Development course is the next goal in partnership with her husband Tim. The couples’ ultimate goal is to grow Global Reef Roamers into a sailing/diving charter and possibly contributing to the local healthcare industry where they reside.
Diving locations include multiple trips to the following destinations: Central and Southern Florida (Atlantic, Gulf & Springs), Florida Keys & Wrecks, Belize-Ambergris Caye & Caye Caulker, Honduras-Roatan & Utila, Cozumel, Mexico-Tulum (Ocean and Cenote), Grand Cayman, Grand Turk, & Curaçao, Saint Maarten.
